Just got an email from Keith @ the Jeep forum and figured I'd check you all out.

I've had bikes most of my life, but I just started seriously getting into mtn biking in 2002. I ride road occasionally, but prefer to ride trails. I'm lucky to have some really great trail systems within a short ride (or drive) from my house. In addition to riding, I enjoy building and maintaining trails and building and repairing bikes. I also enjoy brewing & drinking good ale, especially the heavily hopped kind.:)

See ya all out on the trails!

Hey Scott! I just joined the forum as well and this is the first thread that I opened. Where abouts do you live with all those good trails around you? I am fortunate to live in a good part of Arizona with many good trails in riding or driving distance.

I'm just north of Washington, DC. We've got quite a bit of nice rolling singletrack here in Montgomery County. Just north of me (about 30 minutes drive) is Gambrill State Park & the Frederick Watershed. Those are some of my favorite trails. They are mostly very rocky singletrack with a lot more altitude than we have here in Monkey Co. Also, just a couple of hours south in Virginia is the George Washington National Forest, home of the Shenandoah Mountain 100. The trails there are nothing short of awesome! I try to get down there a couple of times a year.
