My name is Drew and I live in a small beach community called Ocean Beach.
I work at a restaurant about 3 blocks from my house and I have almost no need to drive at all.
My chef job is only from April to September (tourist season) but I make enough to survive all year if I am thrifty.
For the last 3 years or so I have been supplementing my winter income with a sole-proprietorship carpet cleaning business , and so I have to drive at least sometimes , or do I?
I have 2 trailers that I use for everything from shopping to laundry to camping and I believe I have figured out a configuration to haul my carpet machine around with my bike and be free of automotive dependency once and for all.
I will need an electric assist motor to help me with some minor hills , but I think that the cost of maintaining a van would more than offset that initial cost.
Thanks for reading , and if anyone knows a little more than me about electric assist motors I would be very grateful for any input.
Thanks , Drew

Sounds like a great setup and welcome.

Don't you have a very low gear like maybe a small chain ring.
