Interesting find. I like the real world element of the tests. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I'm a long time lover of wide tires.

I’m not 100% convinced they are just as fast but I can say they are definitely more comfortable and fun. The guy that wrote that holds the FKT for the Oregon Outback route. He did 326? miles in like 32 hours? All on 55mm tires.

They put one paragraph in there at the end saying many wide tires are slow. I was just getting ready to argue with them about wide tires being just as fast. My steel framed Trek 520 with 32 mm tires is much faster than my fancy titanium Lynskey with Stan’s wheels with 40mm tires. The only way to prove them wrong would be to buy their tires and see for myself. Not doing that at least until I wear out my Kendas.
