Is there any way to fix a broken aluminum frame? I have two of them now. I have a Yeti AS-X that got cracked on the chain stay. I also have a Cannondale Six13 frame that got crashed and the seat stay is a little bent up. If I can't fix them, is there anything else useful I can do with them?

Is there any way to fix it if it didn't necessarily fail, but more like got cut? I rode for a while with a wobble in my rear wheel, so it cut a groove on the inside of the chainstay...

If you weld that spot, you will have a nice strong weld, and probably a weak spot on either side of the weld from the heating/cooling it underwent during the repair. So it will most likely fail near the weld. And it will probably be exciting when it does.
