Picked up the Gekko on Wednesday, had some changes made to it prior to picking it up.
Swapped out the SRAM SX5 grip shiters and rear derailleur for Dura-Ace bar end shifters and a Deore rear derailleur.
The front is a Shimano derailleur (cannot remember model at the moment) on a triple.
Sooooo. . .
When shifting on the to the smallest ring, the chain drops to the inside. Conventional wisdom would tell me that the L-Screw needs to be adjusted. Before I start, it dawned on me. The rear derailleur/bar end shifter is indexed, the front is strictly friction. I haven't used friction shifters since 90/91. Do you just learn where to stop the lever prior to dropping the chain or is this an L screw adjustment?
Thanks gang.
