ok guys I think I narrowed it down, to 1 of these 2

this Fuji 1500FS his asking is $125

or this Trek for $250

let me know your thoughts on both vs th asking price please...thanks guys

I gotta say I like the quick release wheels on the Trek and the headset

seems more sturdy

Of those two bikes, assuming they are both in reasonable mechanical condition, hands down I'd go with the Trek. A couple quick Googles and I found a 4300 with the same paint scheme (so I assume the same year) with a MSRP of $389. The asking price might be a little high, probably depends where in the country you are, but otherwise a nice looking bike!

Of course sizing is also important, so make sure it will fit you.

well this advice really helps, I do wanna upgrade
but I got to think about what you guys said, the step to those weren't much of an upgrade to what I have

(he wants $500 but I may be able to make some trades)

2008 marin Eldridge grade with full mechanical disc brake marzocchi bomber front shock shimano Deore lx front and rear derailer.

I'd recommend the Trek, it looks like it will be a little sturdier, and has better components. Congrats though on whichever bike you choose.

MTBing is awesome you will love it! I'd also recommend "BikeMapDude.com" to get maps of your area!
