I am thinking of getting either a specialized roubaix or motobecane. Any suggestions?
Let's see.... Real bike with bike shop support and warranty or a mail-order rebadged older Fuji with no support. Hmmmm...... tough choice.

Pretty much. Unless you are comfortable choosing the correct size, doing some assembly, and setting up your own fit, then you probably want to buy local.

I wrestled with a similar question with my Felt vs. the mail-order Motobecane... simply on price. After much deliberation I felt that actually getting on several bikes and working with various LBSs to determine what was right for me and in my price range worked best. Ended up with the Felt Z4 over the Specialized Roubaix/Cervelo RS (among others) and the mail older Motobecane choices.
There are plenty of great bikes offered by LBSs that will meet your needs.
But like @Industry_Hack says above, unless you know what your doing, you should probably buy local.
