I listen to all kinds of music and one of the best albums I have discovered in the past couple years are Delvon Lamar Organ Trio (at least go to 16:00 and watch Jimmy James nuttin’).

Three minutes in before I realized where the bass was coming from .... the bass line was so lively ... and I am not so good at math.

The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio is freaking awesome!!
I love when music oozes out of good musicians.

I really like that. This is a new band to me. Thanks for sharing.

Some of the comments on the vid are hilarious too...”I wish my wife looked at me like the drummer looks at Delvon.”.

I got to see them play at an arts/music series where you got a five course french meal and then a show. There was maybe 25 people total and they basically played in our laps.

This is definitely the most beautiful album I’ve found in five years. It came up on my feed because I listen to another artist by the same name. Music really does transcend language.

What happens when an Elvis drummer, a kabuki Gene Simmons and Mr Horito from accounting get together and perfect metal music? Ningen Isu!

I noticed that and wondered about it. Often, musicians look for cues, but in this case it was awkward.

That drummer though. He’s got mad skills. He does a lot with that puny jazz trap set!! It’s incredible the rhythms he puts out. I kept wishing the camera would give him some closeup time, so i could see how he was doing some of that stuff.

Both he and Jimmy James play in The True Loves. Same genre with brass. He is a great pocket drummer.

From Russia With Love. One of the better “music is the international language” stories. How a 60 year old retired Russian musician transcribed Chicago Transit Authority by ear and created the ultimate tribute band. With rock verboten in 60s Russia, creative players made guitar boards from mom’s furniture, vandalized phone booths for magnets, and copied American vinyl records on to Soviet x-ray film, complete with body parts. Allee Willis is a pisser; never knew that story about the writing of September by Earth Wind and Fire. Worth the time, especially with a snow day today if you’re in the northeast.

The audio in this absolutely sucks but Dave Grohl is just way to cool to do this!
