Found this link via my Jeepforum.com. Look forward to sharing our ride experiences with all and hearing of others as well. My wife and I are retired, live in Phoenix, AZ area, and travel during summer months (need we tell why?) in a 21' Chinook RV with Jeep in tow, canoe on top and hybrid bikes mounted. So we enjoy encountering trails as we travel..on this trip biked 24 miles on the circle route around Manhattan, KS and recently biked a portion of the Pine Creek "rail to trail" route near Wellsboro, PA. (referred to as Grand Canyon of the East or at least Pennsylvania...wait til they see THE Grand Canyon :) We'll keep the forum in mind in the future and remember to take pictures to share!!

I joined today. Was invited to join from another forum. Will be looking for other amateur rider comments. I traded up from Walmart Mongoose to my current ride.
Have a three year old 23-inch framed Giant Boulder SE, completely stock except knobbier tires and a spring loaded gel seat. I do mostly dirt or gravel roads, very little off-road.

Found this via Twitter. Looks interesting. I do a little bit of everything. Ride a Specialezed Allez Elite on the road and to commute. Trek 8000 off road and I just picked up a Felt 9 Solo singlespeed. I race in the WORS mtn. bike races. Plus try to fit in running ( road and trail) and x-c ski in the winter.

Self introduction

Hey Everybody,

I'm new around here. I was invited over from the Jeep Forum. I live in Arlington, Tx and ride a Colnago CT1 with Campy. I also have a Specialized Rock Hopper Comp FSR that I ride where it was intended but also as an urban assault vehicle. I ride down in the Tx. hill country when I get a chance.

Glad to be involved in a bicycle forum.

Ride it till the wheels fall off

Well I seamed to stumbel on to this site and it looks like a nice place to spend some time. So let me say HI to you all

I am 64 years old and I ride about 10 miles a day, I just got a Jamis Explorer 2.0 4 weeks ago and put 367 miles on it so far seams like a nice bike. I am located here in the swamp, nice riding here wide road 4 ft paved sholder and 5 miles to the next cross road and 17 miles around the block

new member - not a hard core rider though

I have a bike I got on sale, Schwinn Fronteir. I am lucky to have several trails nearby my home in northern VA. I'm not so great on the single track trails, but I have given it a shot. I think I'm too old and too afraid of injury to really get into that. I like nice wide-ish trails. Before I got my bike last year, I hadn't ridden a bike in YEARS. This was my first bike that actually had gears also. I have gotten the hang of using the gears (and am thankful for the low/easy gears on hills!). I haven't posted b/c I honestly know very little about bikes. I'll check in though to see if I can learn a little from this forum.

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie on this site. I'm a bike commuter and all-around Fred on my Bike Friday folder. It's my all-around grocery-getter, road bike, commuter, hauler, do-it-all bike. Here's some geek info on the bike: 24 speeds (46T chainring; 11-32 9-spd cassette paired with an SRAM 3-speed internal hub); V brakes; 406mm x 1.35 tires. Cheers everyone and happy riding! --Steve

Hi all. I am pretty new to riding. I have a Canondale Synapse. Did a 65 mile ride in June. Also have done rides via a tandem. Did a 200 mile charity ride last year, and a 150 mile charity ride this year on a tandem.

I was invited through another forum.

Something bad is going to jump up out of the swamp and get your old butt.

Welcome Pal. turn the cranks and tell us about it.
