Hello all, like many others I was referred by JeepForum. I've been riding since 1993 mostly in Southern Cal. I've done a few seasons of racing and a few team triathalons.
I've owned Cannodale, GT, Specialized and Felt mountain bikes and Bianchi and Specialized road bikes.
My current Mountain bikes are a 2008 Felt Q720 and an a 2000 Specialized Rockhopper Pro. I use the Felt for full time offroad and the Rockhopper for commuting and dual purpose.
I've ridden some great trails not only in Southern Cal such as the Mount Wilson Toll road, Castaic race course, Liebre Mountain and McGill on Mt Pinos, but also AZ (Black Canyon), CO (Colorado trail loop and red rocks), New Mexico (16 Mile uphill and downhill single track out of Santa Fe) and Idaho (Ridge to Rivers Trail system).
I like to go Jeepin but for me mountain biking is king! Road biking is great also but I'm to heavy (245) for a road bike and can't really have a good ride without breaking something or warping a wheel. Thats why I use my Specialized mountain bike for road riding...
Take it easy everyone, I'm glad to see this forum started-thanks to the organizers.
