We have been told to pack our bags and be ready to head North to New England. Sounds like a GREAT time....NOT!!!
Well, there goes the neighborhood! So much for the day shift complaint now huh? That would definitely not be where I would wanna go to work ( or play ) in anytime soon! Bet they will be glad to have ya though!
Sorry you have to go, but I bet a whole lot of people will be awfully happy to see you. Stay safe and warm, Rola. That storm is shaping up to be really nasty.
Work unfortunately. Timing couldn't be worse (er maybe better ) as the spousal unit has a week long trip to DC for testing at Northrop Grumman. No big deal cept for the dog sitting situation. I'm honestly hoping I don't have to go. Not because I don't want to but because I really don't have that kinda winter gear to work in that anymore I could really use a JULY trip up there!
I live right off of 95, I'll flash you as you go bye...With the finger, man. Get your mind out of the gutter. Really though, you're doing a good thing. Our relief trip back to NJ, we ducked into a few of the convoys from VA, GA and FL. You're a good man, even if you need a new haircut.
Really though, when you come puttering up 95, let me know via email or something. I can meet you at a rest stop if you can't get off of 95 and load you up with some food. I'll be at the hospital until about noon or so in Baltimore, after that I head over to work so I have some time to play around with if it is during the normal work hours. If its after 1530, no worries I'm around and we're around all weekend.
My truck averages 5.3 mph gallon so the chances of having to stop for fuel that way is pretty dayum good. Still waiting on the werd tho
If you get blessed with going to Cape Cod I am right off 195. You can take a quick detour and get my power back up. You can always depend on me to have enough Natty Ice to share with my friends.
You are a good man Mr rola. Godspeed to you sir. If your travels take you through south jersey, beep when you go by.
The old hard hat liner makes it comfy on the bike when it is cold And the Carharts are hanging in the closet for the last 10 years. Thay remind me of how much I like being retired Yea I still think of the times we had to be out in some crapy weather, and some times up 100' or better
Sadly, I am sending two of my guys up to Boston for EMC Networker training next week. They leave Sunday night.
