just a little ash on my windshield.
California needs to change it's state nickname to The Disaster State.
We are still waiting for a big earthquake. Anything else that I could say would get this deleted for being political.
John, are you saying this isn't normal?
One more than one front...
Too damned lazy to rake the forests, this is what you get ....
It is for California.
When California had the last raging wildfires, I read in an article, from USA Today (?), that California doesn't perform controlled burns. The reason the article gave was because they don't want to pollute the air with unnecessary carbon emissions. Well, how's that working for them?
Since you can't believe anything you read or hear in the media today, I can't confirm the truthfulness of the article but that's what was reported.
Much of Florida is pristine wilderness and Florida Forestry does controlled burns throughout the state year round. We get wildfires but nothing like what California gets.
I needed something to hold my clothes pins.
Enjoy a beautiful breeze tonight. Fish jumping everywhere.
The garden is pumping out delicia!!!
After a tough ride this was the reward

My brother has been building models ever since he was a teenager. He was offered a job by a movie studio when he lived in California, years ago. He travels all over showing an entering his models in local, state, regional and national shows and has done quite well on the trophy count. This is one of his latest dioramas that he calls "My trailer trash girl." Everything on the diorama, except the truck, truck engine and the girl, are made from scratch out of whatever he can find and material that he uses in other dioramas to create things with.
The trailer and porch are made of sheets of modeling balsa wood. The girl comes complete with cigarettes, beer and a black eye from her boyfriend.
The pickup truck is a plastic model and the engine comes with it. I don't know what he made the toilet and washing machine with. The concrete blocks are made of styrofoam.
The lawnmower is also made from scratch. Inside the a/c unit is a compressor and fan but it's hard to see unless you're close to it.
I don't remember what he told me the beer cans were made from they are pretty detailed with labels on them. Lots of mico work here. He certainly has more patience than what I have.
As a fan of 1950s Japanese monster movies, I really appreciate this kind of work. Kid's got talent.
