i would kill to have trails/parks like that around here, espescially that jump park and whistler trail. maybe i'll make a road trip to bc in the coming years.......
Last Fall there was a huge land slide just before Sable Pass around 4:23 on the video. It will be interesting to see if the Park is opened in time to get some tourist-free riding in this Spring before the Park officially opens. The scenery is astounding and riding with, quite literally a wolf or a caribou or fox trotting along side you or crossing 25feet in front of you....or having to hit your brakes to stop for a grizzly 30 feet in front of you is an endlessly fantastic thing. It is, by far, my favorite ride in the world. 3300 feet of climbing, which is nothing for some folks but a very good workout for me. I try to do it several times a season when weather and conditions allow.
I didn't see this thread. I've posted this video in a separate thread so the admin's may wish to pull it from here. No problem if they do. This is a tough ride for me. I do it several times a year but admittedly it's about at the edge of my ability but it's worth it. In a few weeks the grizzly bears will be out and it's wonderful to see them.
Digitbud - got a Facebook "Sorry, this page isn't available" message. Perhaps your privacy settings are preventing other's from seeing whatever video that was.
Short section from beginning of a local group charity ride (that benefits ShelterBox) - https://youtu.be/s8njaGwkGSA
I slow down quite a bit partway through to keep pace with my wife on her hybrid (which she has since replaced with a road bike .
This is a quick hack from todays ride. Sorry...no music in this one so...well it sucks Anyway it's from the first few miles of what we rode today. Had never been there before today and they has some new trials that were setup almost like a pump track although you can't tell it in this video. We ended up hitting for a couple of loops.
I wanted some footage of the Lakeview loop we rode but I didn't have time to swap batteries and not hold the group up. Most of it was a grind ad not what I had expected for a loop named Lakeview. Some rocks and roots but nothing to bad. It's always the climbs that get me being a flatlander
Hope it doesn't bore you to much I had a blast today anyway.
Oh and sorry for the angle of view, I find it annoying and ordered another mount today.

Nice video Digi. I missed out on a bike ride when we went to Alaska but it was canceled because of inclement weather. Maybe next time we go I'll get a chance to do the ride.
The best way to do a ride in Denali depends, of course on your abilities but before the Park opens it's great to drive back to Teklanika and take off from there, going back as far as legs allow (keeping in mind the return). If you or anyone comes up while the park is open it's great to get a three day pass for camping at Teklanika which allows yo to drive your car back to Tek (30mi into the Park) at your own pace stopping as you wish for photography. Then you have a three day bus pass that allows you to go back and forth on busses as often as you wish. Many (not all) busses have racks for two bikes. Next week we're doing a family trip, camping at Tek and then wife and I and son in law and grand kids will take busses back to Eielson and ride one way, back to Teklanika. Crossing fingers for good weather.
Stooooopid Windows and Flash player....made me watch it on the iPhone. Can't wait until this thing dies and I can replace it with a Mac
