I have a project racing bike that I like to play with in my spare time but I don't actually professionally race. Do any members here race professionally? Would like to hear about your racing set-up. Do you race on a track or on the streets?

I like to race against my friends in their cars to see if I can make it accross town faster on the bike. I beat them on occasion. That's as close as I come to it.

I used to race my friends on BMX all the time, play chicken, and throw our bikes down the street for fun. (Quality Testing of course) I wanted to get into it but never had a decent BMX bike to use.

So how do you sign up for this? Is there a centralized association that manages all the racing sites and national competition?
