I love America but I also love seeing brilliance of any form and there is much to love about Europe. Like this...

And this...

They do that( ride bikes ) cuz they pay something along the lines of a 17% ( at least in the late eighties when I lived there) luxury (VAT?) tax so people like my neighbor where I lived in De Nederlands can sit home ( and collect unemployment)and never work while they drive a Mercedes and have horses in their back yard. I had asked him about it once and he basically said they matched his last salary and why should he go back to work...I'm sure people like him were the exception rather than the rule. I enjoyed my time in De Nederlands and the trips to Amsterdam (fondly called the perversion excursions) Coffee shops are the best, the menus are quite intresting :D

Being a Libertarian I'm generally against entitlements in my country but soft socialism does seem to work in some smaller countries. Example: France's universal healthcare is actually good from the French people I've spoken with.

Ya know what they say...when in Rome...puffpuffpass. LOL! My brother went there and his co worker called him their last night before flying back ans begged him to come help him smoke up his surplus so he wouldn't have to waste it by not bringing it home. My brother never said one way or the other but I'm sure he stepped up.

Actually, I sold the crate. It had a musty smell about it that gave me a headache. After I made what was probably a better than fair trade for me, I found out that my newly acquired AK is actually a somewhat rare Poly Tech. I was just happy to get an AK and almost 1,300 rounds for my least favorite pistol. To find out that the rifle and ammo are worth at least $1,100 was icing on the cake. That wasn't even my only score of the week, but since this is the Euro thread, I won't mention the other.

Least favorite pistol?
The CZ75 P07 Duty, which I got in trade for my least favorite revolver, the S&W 642. The CZ was like new, and had a trigger job from the CZ Custom Shop, but I already have a RAMI and their CZ75 SP01 Tactical model. So I let the plastic-framed one go. It was a great pistol, but unremarkable as far as my collection goes. Everything else I collect has some significance, whether it's historical or design/features.

My opinion is that CZ can't be beat as far as value. It's like a Sig or HK, but at 30% off. And they're used by European police, military, and IPSC world champs, which says something. Their RAMI P was the only failure, and they replaced mine with the alloy version. Nothing like a $100 upgrade from the factory!
