Santa Cruz Bike?

So I have a 1800 budget for my new mountain bike and im looking for a full suspension bike. I really like the santa cruz brand and was wondering what you guys would suggest?

Santa Cruz is still considered a boutique branded bike so be prepared to pay for it. I think they make great bikes but there are alot of other bikes out there for that price too. You looking for complete bike or frame. SC warranties are not that great either so if you plan to keep it for a long time might want to consider a Trek of Fisher since they carry lifetime warranties on there frames. Which one are you considering?

That would depend on what type of riding you do. Also, if you are looking for a new bike, 1800 bones is only going to get you a frame and shock at best.

Probably the best all around general trail bike in SC is the Nomad. That bike will do just about anything and can be built up under 30lbs. I understand the VPP take some getting used to though. My gf has a VP Free which is their 8" travel freeride/DH frame and she loves it.
