woke up this morning to snow coming down like crazy. we already had our 100 year snow, 14 years ago, I should not have to be worrying about sliding off the roads because of ice and snow. plus, we are 160 miles from the bottom tip of texas, we should not get snow, ever!

but, here it is, snowing. my kids love it, the dog thinks it a big party outside and the cats can't walk and slid off the porch on their first spring out the door.

luckily, my neighborhood still has electricity. the schools all lost power and the houses on their block. that would be horrible, tons of snow and no power to stay warm.

if I remember, I will put up pics when I get home from work. it was 4 inches deep when I got here

my friend, seana, lives on the north side of Houston (spring) and her area looks like your pics. that's also how leakey looked when my mom sent pics this morning. corpus got slammed though. let me see if I can sneak some pics passed the work computers.

and I live only 1/4 mile from the ocean so you know it got cold. we usually do not get really cold because the gulf water keeps us warmer than in corpus. I live between corpus and mustang/padre island, in flour bluff.

I have a friend in Houston and had a few pics pf the snow last night. My son-in-law is teaching ethical hacking to the Air Force Cyber Command in San ANtonio and he had pics of snow last nights as well. Ya'll keep that mess down there. Poole also had pics of Atlanta today and that looked like a mess ATL is/will be shutdown :)

oh man, san Antonio got tons of snow. my friends up there put a lot of pics on facebook, wow! they really got snow.

to tell you how much I like snow.... I live in south texas on purpose. if I want snow, I can go to the snow cone truck and buy some with banana flavoring. I don't want it to be on te ground or in the air. snow is fun for about an hour or two and than I am ready for summer

As long as there is no shoveling, I'm down every once in awhile.....like once a decade or so like we get.

The last time it snowed in coastal central California was 1962. That's recent enough for me.

/\ i agree. when it snowed in 03, that was good enough for me. i think it was actually Christmas day last time so it was cool.

good thing now is its gone already. i cannot wait for Monday when we are back in the 70 degree range though

ours was gone off the ground by lunch. now, its under 50 on the morning ride to work and about 70 going home. if I could find decent gloves for the morning ride, I would be great

Our last snowfall was an early morning one in 1976. I can’t remember the month. Wasn’t really enough to cover the ground but more than enough to cause havoc on the roads.
