Is there a standard handlebar width for men's roadbikes. Mine seem narrow, and I was thinking of buying a wider set online. I'm 5'11" and probably have a normal shoulder width.

Im 5'9" and I am comfortable with 42CM bars. 44cm bars are a bit wide for me. Yes they do come in different widths and are measured center to center at the bar ends. You can measure yours and and order bars that a little wider.

Most average bars are 42cm. For larger riders there is a 44cm option generally found on bikes 56cm+.
