I take it that there is a bird under that pig...
Next year, we'll put a duck inside a turkey inside a pig, and have our Micronesian neighbors cook it underground in their backyard for a few days.

My girlfriend comes from an LDS family. Between her folks, her siblings, and their kids, there's gotta be more than twenty family members. We're only having eight over today.

For those that believe in God, I'm quite convinced that this is how he would cook his turkey.

Oddly enough, I'm not really a huge fan of eating animals. But when I do, I go big. If you're going to eat an animal, (or two) do it right. It would be tragic if any animal gave its life for a bad meal.
That said, here it is just before the final browning. The bacon went on the string bean casserole, which I heard was good. The turkey itself was moist and tasty.
