Hello all! I'm new here as well as new at biking. I just turned 38 on the 14th of March and thought it's about time to turn my life around. I need to shed about 50 pounds that I've managed to find in the last 9 years! I told the wife I wanted a bike to ride to help get into shape. So, being my OCD self I researched for about 2 weeks and decided on the 2012 Trek 7.3FX. I didn't want to spend any more $$$ than that. The wife lucked out and got a 2011 7.2FX for a STEAL!!! So, here I am. I've lost 10 pounds and have logged 120 miles so far on my new stead. Thought I'd join here for some inspiration and some answers.

Best of luck to you. I too started riding to lose weight a year or so ago. I was 273lbs and now am down to 211lbs. Instead of riding to lose weight now I do it because I love it. Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find lots of good advice from the guys and gals on Two Spoke! Maybe a little inspiration also!
