Seeing new people, awesome.

I'm still working, a little stressful around the holidays, but thinking about where I was last year I'm happy as a pig in excrement, provided he had no mud and had to settle on poo.

What's going on guys? Not rhetorical, I'm interested.

same old same old. Life seems to be getting tougher to make a living though. Don't want to have to sell my bike. Hasn't come to that yet so here's to hoping for a better 2012. Election years are usually good economically, but not sure about this time as the country has spent itself into oblivion the past 3 years.

Thank goodness for riding! Clears the mind.

And you still get paid?

I live at work but no overtime.
Basically, I am the low man on the management totem pole. But I get to wear jeans every day, and I shave twice a week. My work email goes to my phone, but I am not obligated to respond outside my scheduled hours. I don't have a direct line either, nor does anyone outside my team have my cell number. And I'm reasonably certain that some folks a pay grade above me make less, when my OT is taken into consideration. So there's not much motivation for a promotion right now. And I like my current job.

Doesn't sound it. If you're happy why change things up.

Are you able to take time off as you need it?

I've accrued plenty of time off, and once we get the new guys trained, I'm taking a week off. Other than a few times when we're really busy, it's my time to use as I please.

Just back from a long trip to Toledo (via bus). Hit MI to see some people from another forum ----- and on the way home yesterday I came down with this 24 hr bug that my Mom had last weekend (she cancelled Christmas). OMG - there is no better special feeling like sitting on the bus and trying not to throw up (I did not want to use the bus bathroom - no privacy!). And the second special feeling is to push your way off the bus and hit the restroom. Barfed in Erie PA and Buffalo NY. I enlightened many special ladies in those restrooms. Ugh. I am sooooooo glad to be back home!

Me I just feel old and tired, the 30 and 40 miles I was rideing at the begining of last year are down to 10 and 15 miles now. We will see what 2012 will bring , maybe some warm weather and I will get the spring back in my step, or my stroke :D
Time off can you say retired.

I've been sick all week, missed some work over it.

I've never been on a bus that wasn't just around the city, sounds awful.

Tude, that's sweet of you to drop in and share your tale of vomit. ;)

Instead of time off, I've averaged 10.5 hours/day so far this week. I told my boss that I'm taking Friday off. When he asked which one, I said "All of them".

I take "mental health days" form time to time.
