I am a new inventor and as my back ground is in engineering (not marketing), I'm trying to get feedback from user groups.

I developed a full size wheel to fit in an airline carry on bag, specifically an airline carry on bag. Anyone in internet land fond of such an idea. Looking for feedback, good, bad or indifferent.

Thanks,
MBi

Ok, you get a bit more credibility. You may want to correct the typographical errors on your page though.

While your design could certainly work for wheelchairs, (which probably don't require a folding wheel) you have at least three obvious issues to address. First, you'll need a proper hub. Next, there needs to be a braking surface. Third, it needs to be able to handle the various loads generated while riding, turning, and braking. Then you can work out the size issues and who knows what else.

thank you, each response is being addressed, and I look forward to all comments.

1.) The hub is being sourced.
2.) The unit will utilize a disc brake.
3.) Several plastic resins (and grades) are being evaluated for the strength requirements.
4.) Per the material, the geometry is also being updated to decrease the weight, while maintaining strength.
