Hi there all. I'm another old squid. I've been an over the road truck driver for about 15 years. I've done various things to stay in shape over the years but I finally saved up for a nice bike, cobbled together a mount, and hit the road. I find that biking burns fat the same as the truck burns diesel. It's relentless, and goes down till you put more in.
(there always seems to be a takeout place on the way back.)
I started w/ a Giant hybrid, which I've given over to my daughter to train on, and now I have a Giant Talon, a hardtail MTB. I'm in love w/ the suspention and only wish I'd sprung for FS, even though my riding habits useually don't justifie it. I'm mostly on pavement, and just a few days agoe really tried a few off road single tracks. Can't wait to find some more. The travel is a GRAND opportunity to ride lavishly varying venues.
