I know it is no where near time for a jacket in this 100 degree weather but I was planning on starting my search for one now so that I could *hopefully* snag me a good deal on one since we're off season for jackets.

Anybody have a favorite winter jacket that keeps them warm at an affordable cost? I need one that will cover my wrists in riding position and have not had a lot of luck finding a good jacket. Any advice is appreciated!

In the winter, I prefer a light jacket and layers. Winter jackets are too warm for me. If its really cold, I'll wear Under Armor as a base layer which covers my wrists, a wool jersey, and a light jacket. My jacket is a Performance house brand. If I get too hot, I can just shed a layer.

I wear my plain old Roach jacket in winter. It's burly cordura, and waterproof after a good spraying of water repellant.

Layer underneath depending on how cold it is.

If money were no object, I'd snap this up in a heartbeat.

Yes, I fall for the gimmick.

I layer sweaters. It works for me and only slightly cuts down on mobility.
