There is some great fishing in Oklahoma, and you won't need to bring any fishing gear.
Just jump in the river or lake and grab a fish or two with your bare hands. It's called noodling.
Be sure to feel of the fish first so you don't end up with a water moccasin, snapping turtle or alligator Gar.

Funny you should bring that up! Had I been exposed to noodling as a child, I can't conceive of any good having arisen from it, but I imagine the stories would be fun 🤪. Sadly, as an adult I've become a fuddy-duddy, unwilling to so much as try to hand catch a snake or toad. Well, I did recently fish a toad out of a fountain where it was trapped, but was so hesitant about doing so as to be embarrassing.

Despite the obvious conclusions to be drawn from my frankly :poop::poop::poop: record with artificial bait, I am still down to catch fish. Just not by hand. I'll leave that to the craz...err...that is to say, the professionals :D.

Speaking of wind. This would be a great day for a downwind ride from central Oklahoma to Arkansas. The wind has been 40mph+ most of the day with many gusts that were off the scale.

The gusts were so strong they literally blew the vanes off my anemometer.
