It's all a wash though because I bought two years worth of blade for $6. And the shave is better than any 3, 4, or 5 bladed razor I've used.

Very cool! The DE89 was was my first DE razor. I liked it except for the smooth handle. I prefer a knurled grip. My current shave is the Merkur Slant with Feather Blades.

That thing looks absolutely beastly!

It can be beastly, lol. But once you master it, (doesn't take long) it will give you the closest shave you can imagine, especially when using Feathers. I have a collection of maybe two dozen DE razors, but the Slant is definitely my favorite out of all of them.

I only shave about once per week. How long does a blade last?
Depends on the blade & toughness of your beard. Some guys can get up to a dozen shaves from one blade. I can usually get 6-10 shaves from my blades.

And using a good quality shave soap, not spray can cremes. A good soap will soften the beard, allowing the blade to last longer.

If you can remember to keep track of which side of the blade you use, you can flip it over and extend the shaves even more.

We just got a new fridge, as the old one died on us Saturday. Won't get it until the 31st, so no pics until then. Cycling related, I got these as an early Christmas present to myself:

Picked up the one with the smoke, photochromatic (transition) lenses. The lenses are interchangeable so I may pick up a second color for special occasions.

I bought one of these the other day, paid extra to have it delivered on the 24th - but, it wasn't !!!
So it seems it'll be Thursday or even later now.....
I have, however, sent the website one of those "thanks for not delivering on your promises!" Letters that was more than insightful to/for them....

I see your trainer has a remote control for the resistance settings. I have one on my Minoura and really like it. Sorry you didn't get your trainer when promised but I hope you really enjoy it.
