Here is my most recent purchase. It is a Hill Topper conversion kit for my wife's bike. In this picture I still need to tuck the wires in with some zip ties. The front wheel/hub/tire are all new and the lithium battery pack on the rear rack. My wife hasn't ridden a bike in about five years because of her bad hips and other health issues. Last year she got two new hips and is looking forward to riding again. I bought her this electric motor kit to give her a boost and help her with the hills and longer rides. We haven't tried it out yet because of the icy roads.

Couldn't take the old saddle anymore so I upgraded to one with a little more relief.

Selle Italia Max SLR Gel Flow

I now fell no discomfort in the nether regions thanks to this saddle. Just have to put in a few rides to get used to it before it feels perfect.

If it doesn't work out I can return it and get another one with no questions asked.

I would like to try out a saddle like that. It looks like it would be comfortable but you really don't know until you try it. The saddle I had always gone with is no longer available and my first attempt at trying something else was horrible. What I have now was cheap but seems to work ok.

I got some more new stuff for bike touring. I just installed my new front racks and panniers. I had some kind of spacers left over, I wish I knew what I was supposed to do with them. No instructions came with them.

I also took a picture of my rear wheel mounted dynamo for charging my iPhone. You can hardly notice it in the picture but it is at the bottom of the seat stay, that black rectangular thing and the little black box on the seat post is where I plug in my phone. It has a lithium battery so I can wait until the end of the day to charge it after I've stopped if I want to.

My wife and I were going to pick up our two older granddaughters and take them to a local bike trail today. They had a birthday party to go to first so while they were partying we went to the Trek dealer and bought our daughter in law a new Trek hybrid and a two seater Burly trailer. Now everyone in the family can go on rides. Our daughter in law was the only one that didn't have a bike other than the two year old and nine month old granddaughter. Now all the bases are covered.

I just bought a new headlight/ taillight on Amazon on Monday. They delivered them today. I really could have used them yesterday. From the picture I expected the headlight to be about the size of a cell phone only thicker. It’s not, it’s just a tiny little thing. The ad said 7,000 lumens but I don’t believe it. I’ll try it and see how it does. I don’t plan on night riding, I have had too many encounters with animals riding at night. I’ll use it if I’m out and lose track of time and have to come home in the dark and I’ll use it in tunnels. I like tunnels but you have to have a good light.
