No picture but I just put chain #10 on the Colnago. I thought I would try going with a SRAM chain to see if it lasts any longer.

Digging that helmet Rola!

I recently got a new helmet too (Fox flux) wanted a Bell Super, but couldn't find one locally.

I didn't even think about getting one in orange to match my Superfly!

(although we have different bikes, mine does have orange highlights/accents)

I was kind of afraid of getting the orange( pretty limiting :() but the black they offer just didn't have the pop :) Gonna have to google the flux, not familiar with it!

Got some truck repairs to do this weekend. View attachment 16859
Thanks for reminding me that I have to do the brakes on the PU sometime soon. I keep saying I'm going to do them but it's just too hot in the afternoon to be working on them. Morning's are set aside for riding, so I guess they'll wait until a no ride Monday.

Have you tried KMC??
Yeah! I tried them a few times and they all seem to last me about the same. I get around 2,500-3,000 miles or around 3 months on a chain. He recently started carrying SRAM chains so I thought I would give one a try and see how they hold up. My LBS mechanic said if I wanted to make the chains last longer, I need ride less. That isn't going to happen.

i think i need a new one too.

i got my sram x4 shifters on the bike and got my first ride in on them. it is so nice to be able to shift through all the gears again and no more waiting for the derailleur to move over. these x4 shift so quick.

Sons birthday is coming up in two weeks on the 14th, found a 2013 Fuji Absolute 2.0 on clearance for a descent price. Been changing parts out to somewhat match what he's on now. Got the under the seat bag that I've got, took the original 25.4 handlebar and stem off and replaced it with a 31.8 straight bar and stem. The bar ended up being about 2 1/2 inches longer than the original but it works since he likes a wider reach. View attachment 16860 View attachment 16861

^ That's a very nice birthday present. I am sure he is going to enjoy it. This is a good present for you too...it will make him ride faster which means you will have to ride faster to keep up or beat him :D.

He'll be ably to keep up now, I'm 48 and over 300lbs to him zoom to be 21 and around 200lbs, and I average 15-18 mph on the flats while he poops out at around 11-13 mph average.
