barefoot on plywood half pipes, cement drainage troughs, empty pools......a world before skateparks and the emergence of them.....i missed keypunch cards but knew of them as well as cringing at the thought of a 2x4 with steel roller skate wheels.

This is longest I've gone in 30 years not buying something bike related..........I don't even feel like me anymore....but I am.

Bought a chunk of acrylic and screwed it to the wall so I can stare at my gravitational device when in my office/TV lounge.....

.......makes it more believable to the wife that I only built it for display purposes.

mine are 3.0s and i ride with 18psi, but can be ridden around 10 or 12 depending on surface.yes, 4.8s are another world of comprehension and price to replace.....but aren't the largest either. There are 5.0s and that probably isn't biggest either.

Shred-o-thane ..... perfect. I assume the rubber hits the road as infrequently when you are boarding as when you are biking?
nope, deezizz for laying down colored stripes when doing board slides...a cement thing...offroad will be higher risers, actual offroad hubs and tires. Offroad wheels come separate. And you know contemplation of another board for offroad is in progress, lol..............trying to figure out why tho. Never had 2 skateboards at once, much less 3.......no issues tho, lol. 🙃

Burley Coho XC 16+ (16x3") wheel and fat bike 'Burley Ballz' thru-axle.
View attachment 55737

View attachment 55738 The +rim is significantly wider than the stock version. The tire looks significantly wider despite the fact that it's 'only' 3" in diameter vs. the stock tire's 2.125" diameter.

View attachment 55739 Here is where it gets annoying: the two skewers are marked as being of identical size. I purchased the size I did based on advice from the shop where I bought the bike. Accounting for the extra length imparted by the 'Burley Ballz' on either end of the new one, the two thru-axles seem to be of equal length. Spoiler alert: they are not. The Burley axle is better than an inch too long. Somehow.
Looks like you have some thread to work with but maybe could use 1 or 2 more of those black washers like you have 2 of on the right side to make it work. if you put the end of yours where threads end on new one it seems that it would be similar length.
